Today left marina and headed north. Traveled 28.6 miles, the last hour in heavy rain. Am at Blue Water Point Marina on Oak Island in North Carolina. This is some place south of Southport NC. Will leave in morning heading to Southport . Will stay at Southport so I can plan my run up the Cape Fear river. Numerous people have said this can be a rough 12 miles if you are not careful.
The marina I am at is very nice. Has a great restaurant on site. I have a slip that is protected from wind and waves. Pictures are of marina and of waterway getting here.
I have enjoyed reading of your adventure, thank you ! Is there a book in the future? I would buy it. As a small boat sailor would like to read about some of the details of your boat, sleeping bunk, cooking, storage, entertainment, what makes life comfortable aboard your boat?
