Buzz and Tug traveled 29 miles today. They left anchor at 7:30 a.m. and it was raining. Not a hard rain but drizzle, then back to light showers. Was like this until about noon. Temperature was in the mid 50’s. There was very little traffic on the river today, 3 tugs, and maybe 4 or 5 large 30-50 ft personal crafts. The farther south we get on this river the more remote things become. We spend our time planning the next day, where we will anchor etc. Tonight we picked a place called Sugarbowa creek to anchor in. Had to row into this creek. It was shallow coming off the river, but after about 50 ft the water was about 8 ft deep. The creek is only about 60 ft wide. There was an eerie feeling being this close to the shore with branches hanging over. There were no dead trees though. We could only go about 700 ft away from the river. A tree had fell blocking the path up this creek.
